TheJoint.me, Portland, Maine’s music-themed medicinal cannabis dispensary, is excited to announce that Megan Turbide has joined the team as our new General Manager! Megan brings decades of experience and a lifelong passion for cannabis to her new role.

A long-time cannabis advocate, avid live music fan, and self-proclaimed nature lover, Megan can’t wait to meet you and share her extensive knowledge about the healing capabilities of marijuana.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of The Joint team and this extraordinary Portland community,” says Megan, who loves everything about the Maine outdoors, including hiking and camping, as well traveling across the nation and abroad. “I look forward to meeting all of our amazing customers and welcoming new ones to heal their mind, body, and spirit with us!”

Megan has experienced the physical and emotional healing benefits of using cannabis first-hand, including to manage pain and stress. “Cannabis has always been a cornerstone in my life’s journey and is even more so now as I have been able to find relief in its use for managing chronic knee pain due to multiple surgeries, for peace and restfulness in times of crippling grief, and for that spark of inspiration when I have trouble quieting my mind and settling into a creative headspace.”

Along with her passion for helping others get relief through the “holistically healing” plant, Megan is an advocate for destigmatizing cannabis use and righting the wrongs of prohibition.

“I’m hopeful that as the stigma around cannabis use fades and as the industry grows, it will be shaped into one that’s founded on science-based knowledge and is truly committed to shining a light on and correcting the social inequities caused by prohibition,” says Megan. “Needless to say, I’m very excited to see where the future takes us as legalization and the industry expands!”
