At The Joint, it’s not only the highest quality cannabis products that the customers at our Portland recreational dispensary love; it’s also our budtenders’ extensive knowledge. This is especially the case when it comes to finding the right strain in relation to the many health benefits of cannabis.

Come in, say HIGH, and spark a connection to Isaiah Seltzer, the newest member of our amazing budtender team at The Joint! Born in Montreal, and raised Florida, Isaiah has years of experience in both the cannabis and healthcare industries. Prior to joining our team, he served as a medical cannabis dispensary patient care coordinator, and as an activity director for a dementia care unit. He is eager to share his passion about the healing benefits of cannabis with you.

“Cannabis has a tremendous ability to heal the body and can be utilized not only for comfort and relief but can really help you make other healthy lifestyle choices as well,” says Isaiah.

“When I use cannabis, not only am I a kinder, gentler version of myself, but it restores my finicky appetite, allowing me to eat to fuel my workouts. It allows me to recover from injury faster by reducing my inflammation and dulling my pain so that I can rest more comfortably.”

Isaiah says that he has seen firsthand how cannabis can improve a person’s quality of life.

“Cannabis has a really unique ability to bring the body back into balance and can be an excellent tool in one’s personal wellness journey,” he says. “While working in a medical dispensary in Florida, I was able to see the progression of many patients from sickness to health and I saw how greatly cannabis, in its many forms, can improve symptoms and quality of life.”

Isaiah, who has years of experience as an adult-use budtender in Maine as well, says he is looking forward to meeting and helping customers at The Joint find the right products for any of their specific needs.
